thrifty in mississauga

May 5

One recent Saturday I was running errands in the west end of Toronto and ventured out to do a bit of thrift shopping at a concentration of six stores around the intersection of Dundas St. E. and Dixie Rd. in Mississauga, three of which are located in the same plaza.  The regulars are all represented (the Goodwill, Value Village, and the Salvation Army) but they are joined by a couple with which I am less familiar, Talize and Canadian Thrift Stores.  No thrifty finds for me on this visit (although I was tempted by these vintage turquoise chairs outside of the Sally Anne). However, for deals on new goods I also stopped by LW (formerly known as Liquidation World), and was thrilled to pick up 2L refill bottles of Method’s Daily Shower , an indispensable natural cleaner form my glass shower enclosure, for just $2.88 each. Good deal!

Canadian Thrift Stores – 1310 Dundas St. E.

Goodwill – 1224 Dundas St. E.

LW – 3100 Dixie Rd.

Salvation Army – 1458 Dundas St. E.

Talize – 3100 Dixie Rd.

Value Village – 3130 Dixie Rd.
