canadian design bloggers meetup v2

June 28

As we head into the Canada Day holiday weekend, how appropriate is this post about Canadian design bloggers meeting up to chit and chat about, well, design blogging in Canada. This meetup was held this past Saturday June 25th (the first was held in Nov ’10) at the newly updated and urbanly chic Brassaii and was once again superbly organized by Vie of  Verdigris Vie and Daniella of  Dress, Design, Decor.  Thank you to sponsors Ikea, Delta Faucets, and CIL Paints and friends Crate & Barrel,  Rowenta, Style at Home, Kravet Canada, and House and Home.

Decor by Christine; Aubrey and Lindsay; Yummy Mummy Club; Decor Happy.

Meredith Heron…with her son – design blogger in the making?

Tommy Smythe (of Sarah Richardson Design) made an entertaining and interesting presentation to the group, entitled ‘Travel+Camera = Inspiration’, about a recent trip to Sweden and how design inspiration can come from so many different and often unexpected sources, especially when travelling. Be sure to check out the complete list of design bloggers – I’m  certainly inspired by the fantastic and unique design perspectives these bloggers offer…

Just seeing this now! Great to see you there and speak briefly. Lovely photos! I just may swipe the one of me – I actually don’t mind how I look in that one.

Swipe away, Vanessa. Or let me know if you’d like the high res version and I can email it to you.
